Dr. Prachi Shah Arora's Physiotherapy Clinic & Aquatic Centre

Primarily done by hands to treat musculoskeletal conditions and ease pain by selecting various different techniques.

Services Provided

Positional Releasing therapy

Is a technique with which pain in certain position can be solved or the positions that give pain can be corrected by releasing spasm from the muscles.

Trigger Release technique

Body has tendency to build knots when under stress physical or mental which can be due to faulty posture or same posture for long time or lack of water intake or lack of sleep. This knots do not allow our muscle to function well which hampers their elastic nature and hence the muscle strength and endurance gets compromised. Even the range of motion of a particular joint gets compromised, where there are more trigger knots. Therefore, it is very much essential to remove these knots. IASTM tools or trigger release tools exercises or manually these knots are released from the muscle. These knots are mostly misdiagnosed as fat knots. The major difference between these knots is trigger knots are painful and they can refer the pain around the area.

Myofascial release technique

Is performed by different techniques with hand or with IASTM tools.

A fascia is a band or sheet of connective tissue, primarily collagen, beneath the skin that attaches, stabilizes, encloses, and separates muscles and other internal organs.

Fasciae are similar to ligaments and tendons as they have collagen as their major component. They differ in their location and function: ligaments join one bone to another bone, tendonsjoin muscle to bone, and fasciae surround muscles and other structures.

Tight fascia doesn’t allow a good stretch of the muscle and hence compromises the flexibilityof
particular muscle leading to less range of motion. Tightness of fascia and trigger knots over
the muscle are interconnected.

Thrust

A fine skilled technique used to remove the stiffness in joints.

Muscle Energy technique

MET  is a method used in our physiotherapy service to recruit the muscle and start strengthening them. Beneficial for weak muscles.

PNF

Is a technique which is used for extreme painful cases or when muscle power is very less or when someone has developed wrong synergy pattern or faulty posture to correct it.

Traction

Here at the clinic we provide an advance form of traction for neck, back, knee, elbow, shoulder or any joint of the body. We are different because we understand the pressure to be applied and hence we use our hands and a belt or a device which doesn’t put any jerk on the joints while giving traction. We take care of each segment of the spine while giving traction. Thus, we prevent any damage happening to the underlying soft tissues. Patient feels much relief with this procedure, especially for neck and back.

Mobilization maneuver

Different techniques like Mulligan’s, McKenzie, Maitland, Cyriax are used to decrease pain, enable normal range of motion of the joint and correct alignment of the body such that no pain is cause to the patient and goals of the patient are achieved.
