I have treated more than 200 athletes of various different sports amongst which 60 were international athlete, 110 were national athletes and 5 were Olympians and it goes on.. I started my physiotherapy career from 2008, working at orthopedic hospitals. Then I moved on to working with various private and government hospitals including rural camps in the year 2010. 2011, I was the only Indian selected to work with South African Sports rehab Centre and Australian Fitness gym. I got my 2nd degree which was international post my Bachelors degree of Physical Therapy in the year 2011 and I became one of the 160 doctors of India practicing Manual therapy. In 2012, I got my 3rd degree as Aquatic therapist; 2013, 4th degree as Taping Therapist; 2014, 5th degree as honorable masters in sports physical therapy with holding a rank in merit in India; 2015, 6th degree as Indian fitness trainer and 2016, 7th degree as YOS trainer.
Indian Institute of Physiotherapy training was started by me and Dr. Harsh Vekariya in 2016 to encourage physiotherapist to learn advance physiotherapy techniques. I wanted to share my knowledge and experiences and so IIPT provides scholarship to the enthusiast physios who wants to treat their patients thinking out of the box. By, 2018 there were more than 250 physiotherapy students, professors and professionals who did their training with IIPT. IIPT did more than 30 workshops in 3 years with all batches full. IIPT workshops are taken by me as a resource person for physiotherapists and occupational therapists. It includes Aqua aerobics and aqua fitness, aquatic musculoskeletal physiotherapy, aquatic rehab in sports injuries, manual therapy, taping techniques and sports injuries workshop.
I got associated with Swimming Federation of India in 2013. I did an intervention comparative study between aquatic physical therapy and land physical therapy in Swimmer’s shoulder condition across India and won award in 2nd International Physical Therapy Conference held at AIIMS, Delhi. In 2017, I travelled with Indian swimming and diving team for 9th Asian age group championship held at Uzbekistan and India ranked 3rd out of all countries for their outstanding performance.
Since, 2010; I have been volunteered with my clinic team for Standard Chartered Marathon, Mumbai as a sports physio at end stretch and base camp 1. In 2018, got associated with Xtreme Sports India – Mr. Raj Vadgama Academy for marathoners.
Since, 2016; got associated with K11 Academy of Fitness Sciences as a consultant physio.
I have always been passionate about trekking and adventures. I successfully completed Chadar trek in 2016 and very well understand the extreme climate conditions which encouraged me to write an article for DNA newspaper.
I believe in holistic approach towards clients and patients for their early prognosis. It is very important for me to do a thorough evaluation and assessment of a person. So, I can help them in achieving their goals sooner.
